Registration
Welcome to your first step under OPD toward accessing health services. Please begin at the registration desk. Kindly bring your personal health record book with you. If you do not have one, you may purchase it at the registration office for K5.
Once registration and vital entry are complete, proceed to the HTS office for further steps. If you experience any challenges or are unsure of where to go, feel free to ask any nearby staff for assistance — we’re here to help!

HTS
Step 2: HIV Testing Services (HTS) After completing registration, the next step is HIV Testing Services. Before testing, we ensure a confidential consultation and mutual agreement (however, its not mandatory that you get tasted for HIV).
Once this step is complete, you will proceed to the Triage area for further assessment.

Triage
During this stage, you'll experience a range of essential care services, including:

Routine Health Checks: Such as blood pressure monitoring, and measurement of weight and height to track your overall wellness.

Step 4: Clinical Assessment (OPD Section) Located just opposite the Triage Center, this is where you receive personalized attention based on your health condition. At this stage, doctors and clinicians carry out thorough medical assessments to ensure an accurate understanding of your situation. This careful evaluation helps guide the next steps in your care journey. Based on their findings, the medical team will provide clear and informed advice, directing you to the appropriate services or treatment

NHIMA
At Mtendere Mission Hospital NHIMA members can access essential health services without paying cash upfront, as long as their membership is active. Simply present your NHIMA ID or NRC for verification
For patient:

No Direct Payment at the Hospital: If you're a registered NHIMA member, you won’t need to pay cash for covered services. Just present your NHIMA ID or NRC, and your fingerprint will be used to verify your identity.

Covered Services: These may include outpatient consultations, inpatient care, maternity services, surgeries, diagnostics, and medications—depending on your condition and NHIMA’s benefit package.

Cashier’s Office Services – Mtendere Mission Hospital Our Cashier’s Office plays a vital role in both Outpatient and Inpatient services by providing:

Dispensary / Pharmacy
This is the point where patients collect their prescribed medications based on referrals and their specific health needs. To ensure a smooth process, patients must present proof of payment before receiving medication.
Our dispensary also offers consultation services related to prescribed drugs, including proper usage, dosage guidance, and any necessary instructions to support safe and effective treatment.

Eye Clinic
Ophthalmology Consultations: Comprehensive eye exams to diagnose and treat eye conditions.
Cataract Surgery: Removing cloudy lenses and replacing them with artificial lenses.
